At
the top of this banner, framed by the letter "A" are many
of the types of housing associated with the city, from high rise
flats to grand Mansions. On the street are all manner of citizens
and queueing for the bus is the Queen who
visited the project in March.
The
inner image was designed by Joseph Davie, the printmaker and has
a strong graphic quality. It was inspired by the memories of the
residents of Springburn, a once prosperous area of the city which
has suffered greatly as a result of industrial decline. The figure
represents the Spirit of the community and is made up of images
associated with the city and the area.
